Starting a Students Helping Students Campaign at your academic institutions is extremely simple; however, its impact will be longstanding.

To start a Students Helping Students Campaign, you simply need to create a marketing and/or fundraising campaign that promotes CANFF’s on the ground efforts in Honduras. We will be happy to provide you with the artwork and graphics to get your campaign off the ground.

Additionally, if you have any other questions related to starting a campaign, you can contact CANFF directly at info@canff.org. Please remember to put Students Helping Students in the title of the email.  Once you have decided that you would like to launch one (or both) of these campaigns at your academic institution, please contact us so that we are aware of the fact that you have launch a CANFF campaign.

All donated equipment can be sent to our Tampa, FL location. Additionally, you can donate the money you have raised via our online donation service or to the current Pass it Forward Campaign directly.

Below is the rationale behind launching these campaigns:

Students Helping Students Campaign

If it is a student campaign, then you will generate funding and donations that will go directly to our on-the-ground efforts in Honduras as it pertains to community service projects, repairing schools, and even helping subsidize a student’s education costs. Think about it, as students, you understand what it is like to be a student. In fact, imagine being a student and not having the resources to reach your potential as a student.

That is what CANFF is trying to eliminate with the Students Helping Students Campaign. Our goal is to help the students with whom we work finish school and therefore provide them with a vital tool towards upward mobility, education.

How is the equipment distributed?

CANFF does not believe in idea of simply “giving away” donated equipment. Rather, CANFF requires their student-athletes to “earn” this equipment. The way the equipment is earned is by maintaining an average GPA of a B on their midterm and final grades. Additionally, for a student-athlete to be eligible to earn soccer equipment, school supplies, and even a computer on occasion,  the student-athlete must also participate in community development projects, which are funded by CANFF. Third, a CANFF student-athlete must also demonstrate sportsman-like conduct on the soccer field.

This criteria ensures us at CANFF that our student-athletes are taking education and community development serious as well as soccer. Furthermore, this promotes all of these facets of personal development and therefore shows our student-athletes that to be a well-rounded student-athletes, you must strive for excellence in all of these area, not just soccer.

CANFF hold their Academic Awards Ceremony biannually. At this ceremony, CANFF distributes these prizes to the students who have successfully complied with the aforementioned criteria. The Awards Ceremony is done in the center of the community so that the community at-large can join CANFF in recognizes these student-athletes for their efforts both on and off the field.
